Man Finds an Abandoned Cabin in the Woods in Norway and Shares Its Secret

Have you ever found something mysterious while hiking through the woods? Perhaps an old fort or valuable item, even a treasure of some kind! There’s nothing like the thrill of being the first to discover something and part of the fun is imagining the lives of whoever left these things behind. Some discoveries come with secrets that remain buried forever, but some come with clues that can help solve the mystery. A man in Norway recently stumbled upon one of the biggest discoveries of his life. He recently found an abandoned house in the middle of the forest and his curiosity got the best of him. Fortunately, he had a camera with him and everything he saw was caught on film.From the outside of the house, it looked completely abandoned. This Norwegian man imagined that he would find very little inside, but he was surprised to see a large number of trinkets including family photos and other items.One fact we know about the house is that it was supposedly abandoned in 2005, and the departure seems to have been sudden since so many personal belongings were left inside. Still, there was enough left in the house to imagine what this family’s life was like, and perhaps even why they left in the first place.

Whoever lived in this house previously were either real slobs or forced to leave in a hurry. We’re guessing it was the latter because who could live like this? The messy collection of pots, pans and buckets could put a hoarder’s house to shame!

The floors were littered with children toys, books, clothes and pictures all over the place. From the contents, it seems like a small family lived in the house at some point.

Some of the pictures showed a couple on their wedding day from what seems like a long time ago, and we can only hope they’re still alive and still as happy as they looked back then.

A few of the rooms in the house seem like they’ve been frozen in time, almost exactly as they likely were back in 2005. Maybe the family planned on returning some day.

Amidst all the garbage, there might actually be some items of value! It leaves us scratching our heads wondering why this family left everything in such a hurry.

So, what’s the real lesson to be learned from this story? If you’re looking for mystery, perhaps your local woods is a good place to start! The odds of finding a treasure like this home might be slim, but you never know what you’ll find in the heart of the forest.
