He gave money to the university for the Littlefield Fountain, Main Building, Littlefield Dormitory, and a building located in downtown Austin that was completed in 1912. The house is no stranger to ghost and horror stories. Young children of UT staff members have reported ghost sightings, unexplained bumps in the night, and the granddaughter of the staff members said her grandmother had the aroma of a ghost from working in the building. There is one ghost that keeps the house on their toes and that is the ghost of Alice Littlefield. Workers say they have heard her playing the piano during late night hours and others say items have been moved from one area to another without their knowledge. It sounds like she wants to reclaim her home!
