Indeed, it is a burden for each of us to face these changes from day to day. Students and workers find it hard to embrace this new normal. But this year and in the coming years, vaccines are provided to protect us from the virus. Surely, everyone had their hopes that all will be alright in time. In fact, there may even be some positives that we are able to take from the pandemic.

  1. You learned the importance of telehealth. Since all of us have limits on our actions due to the coronavirus, many new online programs were established. Telehealth is a technology that allows doctors to conduct medical care remotely. Both patients and doctors found this program effective for things like medical consultations to mental health programs. Both patients and doctors learned that you can easily use a platform like Zoom for meeting their patients remotely.
  2. We learned the importance of having vaccines. Everyone is a witness to how effective it is in preventing diseases. Dr. Strolls, who got Covid-19 and had symptoms stated that vaccines are worth getting. She says some don’t like the idea of having side effects after being vaccinated. On the other hand, Dr. Juthani encourages everyone to complete their vaccines to be protected from other diseases.
  3. We need to take mental health seriously. A certain report emphasized that the mental health problem is chronic, now even more so thanks to covid-19. They marked it as a second pandemic. According to Arman Fesharaki-Zadeh, MD, Ph.D., a behavioral neurologist, and neuropsychiatrist the number of people who have a mental disorder before the pandemic era. The issue has certainly escalated due to job loss, child care, isolation, and losing their loved ones to Covid-19.

You might take these things for granted before. These are the lessons that are worth remembering, including those that might help people to get through a future virus and its related issues.
