As perhaps the prime example of pool eccentricities, take this wooden deck design from AGOR Engineering Enterprises Ltd., which uses a hydraulic system to lower a wooden deck into a pool. Yes, that’s right. This deck becomes a pool.

AGOR Engineering specializes in “moveable floors” and has constructed them for many private residencies in both Israel and London, but this pool design is simply amazing to see. How cool is this?

Unfortunately, AGOR’s installations are not for the modest middle class. They come with a hefty price tag of nearly half a million dollars per deck. Oh well! The American dream is alive and thriving, right? We just need a few more years to save up.
