Watch Justin Timberlake and Steph Curry Hold a Baby and Sing ‘The Lion King’ Theme
It’s not every day that you see Justin Timberlake and Steph Curry sing songs from The Lion King while holding your baby.
In the video, posted on YouTube by Michael Hood, during a celebrity golf tournament, one dad was so determined to get his baby held that he asked every celebrity as they walked by, shouting, “All these people said you’d hold my baby!” He first asked basketball sensation Steph Curry, who walked by without a word. Then Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo walked by, also without so much as a response. Finally, when Justin Timberlake made his way across, the dad took his chance.
He began chanting, “Hold the baby,” which quickly became popular among other spectators. Timberlake, just like the other celebrities, ignored the dad at first, who held his baby aloft, as if it were an offering to Timberlake. But once the chant began, he knew of only one way to end it: Hold the baby.
Curry joined Timberlake, who happily — if reluctantly — took the baby in his arms. Curry then began the famous “Circle of Life” song from The Lion King, in which a newborn Simba is held in the air. The dad, finally getting his wish, tries to go further for a handshake with Timberlake, but is awkwardly refused. Unfazed, the dad remarks with perfect comedic timing, “I’m bringing babies back! Yeah!”
The baby, meanwhile, although very cute, was oblivious. Take a look below! And don’t forget to SHARE this hilarious video with your friends! Who knows, maybe this could be the start of a Curry-Timberlake bromance we never knew we needed!
