Adorable Girl Sells Girl Scout Cookies With a ‘Redbone’ Remix
Everybody loves Girl Scout cookies. Because they’re so popular, Girl Scouts know that they’ll sell without a problem. The thing is, though, each individual girl sets a sales goal for herself, and some of those goals are pretty ambitious. Whether they’re working toward a sweet prize or just trying to hone their entrepreneurial skills, Girl Scouts are highly motivated to sell, and some of them come up with some pretty great tactics.
One of the best sales pitches of the year came from a Daisy named Charity Joy Harrison. Harrison and her dad came up with some remixed lyrics for the popular Childish Gambino song “Redbone,” and made a video advertising the cookies. The cute kid and clever lyrics went viral in no time, and when Donald Glover — the man behind the Childish Gambino persona — was on The Late Show, Stephen Colbert brought up the video. After Glover said he wished he could buy cookies from Harrison, Colbert surprised him and brought her out, along with her dad, Seymore.
Glover went above and beyond, buying all 113 boxes so she could meet her goal! (All Thin Mints, too: He’s a man of good taste.)
