Definition of "buyo" []

  • In the Philippine Islands the leaves of the betel-pepper (Piper Betle), which, together with the nuts of the betel-palm (Areca Cathècu) and a pinch of slaked lime, are used by the natives as a masticatory. Also called itmo. See betel and bonga. (noun)
