It has been over 40 years since All in the Family premiered, and many critics still consider this landmark show to be one of the best in television history. The show featured the talents of actors Carroll O’Connor, Jean Stapleton, Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers. It was produced by Norman Lear.

The concept of All in the Family featured a working-class family tackling the major racial, gender and social issues of the 1970s with comedy. It was also the first sitcom in which all of the lead actors won Primetime Emmy Awards.
